What is personal training?
Personal training is one on one coaching and motivation from a qualified and experienced personal fitness trainer who tailors exercise and or dietary programs specifically for you and your personal goals and needs.
Personal training is the most effective way to achieve your health, fitness, and/or weight loss goals. Everyone is different and an individualized approach is essential to getting the absolute BEST results possible. It is much more than just a Gym instructor.
Why should I work with a personal trainer?
You benefit in many different ways compared to just training on your own! Some examples are, you gain advanced knowledge, you receive extra motivation, you have more consistency, you greatly reduce the chance of injury, you have an extra person’s perspective to collaborate with in an objective manner, and it is more fun!
How often should I meet with my personal trainer?
This will depend upon your goals, how quickly you want to achieve them, your schedule and time available to exercise, and of course your budget. However when considering the cost, remember that this is your health and body , and you are getting custom tailored help specifically for you, and not just a standardised program as is found in Gyms and as given by Gym instructors. The point here is that the quality you will get more than compensates for the cost with faster and better results.
On average, most clients meet with a personal trainer 2-3 times per week, and is in many cases the minimum pace particularly if that is essentially the only time they exercise. If you are already training yourself and or are able to do ‘homework’, then a couple of times a week is fine, and even less depending on your level of experience and commitment to your goals. Obviously a training schedule is an individual thing, and we can discuss what is most appropriate for you during the initial Free consultation.
How fast can I achieve my goals and see results? While the key point with using my services is QUALITY, the more frequently you meet with your trainer the faster you’ll see results and achieve your goals and there are several reasons for this for example consistency, accountability, motivation, guidance, you’ll work much harder with your trainer than on your own, etc.

Do I need to have equipment if I am going to be working with a trainer in my home?
This depends entirely on what your goals are. You do not need equipment to have a good work out, I can bring equipment along however at some point it may be an advantage for you to purchase some basic items. This can be discussed during your initial Free consultation.
